"Fruit Fly" Nuisance
By Ted Cooley
Have you ever been sitting at the dinner table at home, or out socializing at a local eatery and these pesky fellows start diving at you or your food?
Well most people refer to these guys as "fruit flies." But, in fact these nuisance pests are probably coming from a floor drain, kitchen sink, food disposal, or some other location where grease and food substances are deposited.
A helpful trick as how to confirm where they are coming from is to cover the hole or drain with masking tape. The flies hidden in these areas trying to escape will get stuck on the tape. This confirms the source and you can now take action.
